Hmm…where to begin.
First of all, let me officially make the announcement that our son was born this past Tuesday, December 09, 2008. He was born at 12:09pm on 12/09/08. Crazy, I know.
So, my wife and I went into the hospital on Sunday night (December 07) because they were going to do cervadil induction due to my wife’s blood pressure being high. We got there, they gave her the cervadil, and the next morning they started her on Pitocin, a drug that causes her to have contractions. Long story short, she stayed in labor for 30 hours. She kept making just enough progress that the doctor kept holding off on doing a c-section. During this labor, she was stuck in the arm about six times trying to get a vein for an IV and had to have two epidurals done because they first one didn’t take. Basically, she was put through the ringer. The doctor finally decided to perform a c-section the morning Aiden was born.
My son’s name is Aiden Emery Thorn Hamilton. And he is…wonderful. He is everything I could ever want and so much more. It just boggles my mind to realize that we created this child. When I saw the doctors pull him out of my wife, I realized right then that life was going to be different from now on…forever. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Anyways, enough typing…I’m sure you want to see some pictures. Enjoy!
